Basic Transportation Program

Each participant who successfully completes the Veterans Alternative Sentencing Program will receive the Basic Transportation Stipend in the form of a debit card.  During the course of the year, an amount will be set aside for each hour a participant works.  These funds are earmarked for purchase of a dependable used vehicle.  The note will be subsidized by The O.V.A.L Program.

Example.

40 hrs x 52 weeks x $2 = $4,160

40 hrs x 52 weeks x $1 = $2,080

40 hrs x  52 weeks x $0.50 = $1,040

Each successful graduate of the program will be entitled to additional benefits to include but not limited to:

• Access down payment assistance for an Affordable apartment

• Group counseling, advice

• Career / Job assistance, and 

• Individual therapy sessions.
